Why join
The first signed build is not published, so there is nothing to download yet and Pro checkout is closed. Checkout opens with the first signed build, because the 7-day trial starts the moment you pay. The waitlist is how you hear when that happens. You do not need it to use Hedroom later: when a build exists it goes on the download page, and the free features need no card and no account.
What you get, exactly
- A confirmation email, right away. It has one link, which works for 7 days. Until you open it, your address is not confirmed. If you did not ask for it, ignore it: nothing is confirmed unless the link is opened.
- An email when Hedroom launches. That is the message the list exists for.
- Possibly a note about the beta. The plan is a private beta of 50 to 100 testers, at least 30% of them on 8 GB Macs. Joining the list does not promise a place. The plan, step by step.
That is the whole mailing list: no newsletter and no regular schedule. We give no date for either email, because the steps before them are not finished.
What you do not get
No launch discount and no code. The planned prices are on the pricing page, the same for everyone, and they may change before release. The list is not a queue, and joining does not start a trial or cost anything.
About the three questions
They are optional. They tell us which Macs people have, what slows them down, and whether you would pay about a year's planned price for fixes that come with proof. The answers decide what gets built first. They are stored with your address, and you can change them by sending the form again with the same address. "An Intel Mac" is one of the choices so we can see how many people have one. Hedroom does not run on Intel.
What we keep, and how to leave
- We store your email address, the date, where you signed up and your answers. We use them to email you about the beta and the launch. This website uses no analytics and sets no cookies.
- The confirmation email is sent through an email delivery service. To limit abuse, sign-ups are rate-limited with a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself, and that count expires within two hours. The service that stores sign-ups does not log email addresses or form contents.
- To stop hearing from us, reply to any email and say so. To have your entry deleted, write to support@hedroomapp.com. More on the privacy page.
Questions
Do I need to join to try Hedroom?
No. There is nothing to try yet. After release the download page carries the file, and the waitlist only gives you a heads-up.
Does joining start a trial or take a card?
No. Joining needs an email address and nothing else. The Pro trial starts at checkout and needs a card, and checkout is closed until the first signed build is published.
Can I join with an Intel Mac?
You can, but Hedroom will not run on it. There is no Intel build, and it needs macOS 15 or later. See requirements.
The confirmation email did not arrive.
Check your spam folder. If you sent the form less than an hour ago, no second email goes out, so wait an hour and send it again. The link works for 7 days, and an expired link can be replaced the same way.
