Does Hedroom need my admin password?
Not to set up or to use almost everything. Only fan curves on a MacBook Pro and a higher GPU memory limit need a small helper, and Hedroom asks only when you turn one of those on.

Hedroom judges memory by pressure and by how fast swap is growing, not by how much is in use. A Mac using most of its RAM with healthy pressure is working normally, because macOS keeps cached files in memory on purpose.

The trial lasts 7 days, starts at checkout and needs a card. If you do nothing, the plan starts and you are charged. Cancel on the billing page before the 7 days end and you pay nothing. Monitoring, explanations, alerts and the storage scan stay free either way.

Cancel on the billing page with your license key. Pro keeps working until the period you paid for ends. For a refund, email support within 30 days of a payment. No reason is needed.

On the old Mac, press Deactivate this Mac in Settings, then enter your key on the new one. If the old Mac is gone, the 2-Mac screen on the new one lists your other Macs and moves the license for you.

The change was smaller than Hedroom can measure, or went the other way, so it takes no credit. It is an honest answer. If three receipts in a row say so for one rule, Hedroom offers to turn the rule off.

No. Quitting asks first, force quit needs a second confirmation, nothing is deleted without your permission each time, and Apple's own processes are never touched.

It does not, during setup. Only if you turn on cleaning of iPhone and iPad backups or Mail downloads, because macOS protects those folders. Say no and everything else keeps working.
